About Phases In Life

For over 40 years a growing group of volunteers have been assisting Veterans and their families. This group of volunteer advocates did this work free of charge and in some cases using their own funds to assist. This was accomplished by strong networking and referring to multiple services including adult education, financial advice, legal assistance, and medical understanding. Veterans came to us on their own or through referral when they were feeling overwhelmed, when they were struggling with understanding the support and services Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) offers and being unable to access what they needed. In our work, we identified and assisted deserving Veterans with documentation and submissions of information as well as understanding VAC’s responses.

Through our interactions, we started asking ourselves why some individuals were experiencing difficulties accessing services and why there were others who were receiving support when perhaps they should not.  We came to the realization that we could continue to help Veterans one by one, or we could instead partner with VAC and in time, other governmental departments and private sector companies at the organizational level where the biggest impact could be made. This led us to form Phases in Life, Inc. in 2024.

Phases in Life, Inc. is led by an Executive Team with over 185 years of combined experience as active Canadian Armed Forces members, Veterans, Veteran advocates, governmental, and senior corporate business leaders and professionals in various industries. In addition, there are several individuals who we have a contractual relationship with who are specialists in various areas. This allows Phases in Life, Inc. to remain nimble, and bring in individuals who are truly well versed in certain areas based on client needs. In addition, our Executive Team are hands-on leaders and regularly engage in various initiatives based on contractual terms and the unique needs of the clients we serve.
